Emily is a senior studying physics with an astrophysics concentration and planning to pursue a graduate degree in astronomy. She got her start in the field of Space Weather, examining the connection between long-term solar cycle characteristics and the corresponding behavior of protons in the inner Van Allen Belt. Now, she is interested in using galaxy dynamics to probe the nature of dark matter through a combination of data from missions such as Gaia, and simulations such as FIRE.
