Daniel S Dai
Hi my name is Daniel Dai, I am a senior in the College of Arts and Sciences studying neuroscience and biochemistry with a minor in statistics. My research interests involve the cellular mechanisms involved in the pathogenesis of neurodegenerative disease. I work in Virginia Man-Yee Lee’s lab at the Center for Neurodegenerative Disease Research (CNDR) at the Perelman School of Medicine, where I’m currently exploring the role of granulovacuolar degeneration in tau pathologies in Alzheimer’s Disease. I also work with Saurabh Mehandru at the Icahn School of Medicine at Mount Sinai, investigating T cell receptor repertoire changes in ulcerative colitis patients. At Penn, I write for the Penn Healthcare Review and volunteer in the pediatric oncology unit at the Children’s Hospital of Pennsylvania.
