Sarah T Pham

Sarah is a senior in the College of Arts and Sciences studying Neuroscience and Chemistry. Born and raised in Philadelphia, PA, she enjoys sharing all of the amazing restaurants, sceneries, and activities that the city has to offer. She finds great passion in delving into the core of Genetic Epilepsy research at the Goldberg Lab, aiming to elucidate the pathology of disease mechanism and discover opportunities for novel therapeutics. In the lab, she works on the SCN3A team to specifically examine pathogenic variants in SCN3A, a gene encoding voltage-gated Na+ channel alpha-subunit Nav1.3. At Penn, she is affiliated with the FGLI cohort and serves as an active member of KDSAP and PennScience. In her free time, Sarah enjoys listening to jazz music and true crime podcasts, and cooking anything spicy.
