This research presentation includes CT segmentations for oral and maxillofacial surgical planning as well as modeling image segmentations with deep learning. Creating a large quantity of mandible masks can be used to train deep learning models to generate cranial models that can be used as surgical aids​, so in this project we manually segmented head CT scans to achieve this. Furthermore, the presentation also includes a brief discussion of utilizing spinal MR images to develop an automated segmentation process of these images with deep learning models.​
