Hertha Torre Gallego

Hertha Torre Gallego is pursuing a double major in Health and Societies (concentrating on Global Health) and Hispanic Studies. Hertha is interested in international development, particularly equitable healthcare access through policy and advocacy, with a focus on Latin America. She is a recipient of the Wolf Humanities Fellowship, the Andrea Mitchell Center for Democracy Fellowship, and various CURF awards. She is currently working on her Senior Honors Thesis, which researches the gap between recent progressive changes in abortion policy and the lived realities of patients and providers in Buenos Aires, Argentina. In the future, Hertha plans to pursue a graduate degree in Global Health, with the intention to obtain a doctoral degree in a related field and contribute to public health development in the Latin American region.
