Cypress Kaulbach was born and raised in Philadelphia, PA. She became interested in Soil Science while attending Central High School and pursued Soil Research at the University of Pennsylvania starting her Freshman Spring under Dr. Alain Plante. She is an Earth and Environmental Science Major with a minor in the Fine Arts. In addition to research, she is engaged on campus as a member of the Women's Varsity Rowing Team.
