My love of Classics began when I first read Homer's Iliad as a young teenager, and it deepened every time I checked out Robert Graves' Greek Myths from my local library. When I returned to college to finish my undergraduate degree, I decided to continue my longtime passion by majoring in Classical Studies. Having the opportunity to conduct my own research under an esteemed advisor was both an honor as well as the culmination of a lifelong ambition.

In addition to studying Classics, I work full-time at the university as a Benefits Specialist. I'm happily married with two children, and have four pets - including a Great Dane named Penelope (who is just as clever as her namesake).
