Alejandra Bahena

Alejandra Bahena is a fourth-year pre-medical student at the University of Pennsylvania, pursuing a major in biochemistry and a minor in French. Alejandra is the CEO and Co-founder of National Pre-Health Community LLC, which is a student-led organization dedicated to providing free and accessible educational resources, informational events and a support network to undergraduate students of any background who are interested in pursuing a career in healthcare. She currently works at the Penn Digital Neuropathology Lab and is the Co-President of the Penn Neuroscience Society.

Alejandra is an International Baccalaureate graduate, a full-ride scholarship recipient through Questbridge, a Johnson Scholar through the Perelman School of Medicine, and was a College House Research Fellow and a PURM Fellow. She enjoys volunteering at the Hospital of the University of Pennsylvania and serving the Philadelphia community by tutoring students from disadvantaged neighborhoods, using her Spanish and French to break language barriers for non-English speakers.
