Who Has A Same Race Teacher in Kindergarten? Comparing Students With and Without Disabilities

This project researched whether students with disabilities receive same race teachers at different rates than students without disabilities. After discussing the effect of same race teachers on students with disabilities, we concluded both that students with disabilities are underrepresented in receiving same race teachers and that this has a negative effect on their school experience. Finally, solutions in the short, medium, and long term are discussed.

At the end of the presentation you mentioned that the use of community partnerships could prove to be valuable and I was wondering what specific types of partnerships you envisioned when mentioning this?
